Trump: I Want to End the War in Ukraine

Al-Taj News – U.S. President Donald Trump said he wants to end the war in Ukraine, expressing his belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy want the same as well.

Trump added that his relationship with Zelenskyy is good, stressing that the U.S. government was not involved in restricting Starshield services provided to Ukraine.

Starshield is a satellite constellation developed by U.S. company SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, to provide secure communications services, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities for governments and military and security institutions. It differs from Starlink, a service primarily designed to provide internet access to commercial users and individuals.

Relations between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have seen mixed statements over recent months. On October 10 of this year, Trump called for the election of a new president in Ukraine, arguing that Zelenskyy had failed to reach an agreement to end the war with Russia despite the available opportunities. This came against the backdrop of a dispute over Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy facilities and a U.S.-Russian agreement to supply diesel.
